Inspired and on a journey.
2018 is all about becoming greener, in an industry which is anything but. Pleased to say that already all cardboard is re-used lots of times before being recycled, plastic vials and trays are used over and over, tissue paper packaging is acid free, and gift packaging is mostly cardboard and paper. Any plants unsold are to be given to community gardening groups, and any flowers given away in random acts of kindness. I’m busy researching alternatives to all the worse packaging and base materials, and keeping a close eye on what is going on internationally in the search for sustainable solutions.
Really excited to be researching different ways of packaging and building designs and over the next few months I will be dramatically cutting down on the use of anything that does not biodegrade. Why not ask to ‘go green’ on your next flowers and bouquets – have flowers ready arranged into glass vases, yours or mine and watch this space for new designs wrapped with leaves, foliage and other biodegradable fabrics.
