CORPORATE AND CONTRACT FLOWERS
DESIGNS Designs are created with your business and venue in mind, we aim to use different vases and containers for different venues with differing flower designs than neighbouring businesses, *however, sometimes an overlap is unavoidable.
We may on occasion take photos of designs to be used as promotional purposes, but these will not include guests or anything which may damage your reputation. Please do let us know if you’d rather we didn’t, we fully understand.
DELIVERY & PRICING Prices will be kept within the agreed rate. Prices will be reviewed annually which may lead to price rise to take into consideration factors out of our control such as Brexit, inflation rates and delivery costs. Delivery of flowers will be on Thursday/Friday unless otherwise arranged. Payment terms are according to the invoice. Please remember we are a small business so late payment really hurts!
VASE HIRE Vases and containers are supplied on a loan only basis and at no stage are owned by the client unless purchased in a separate agreement. Any damaged vases/containers must be paid for at the current market selling price, although we will work around this where we can.
CANCELLATION We aim to provide as much flexibility as we can, however flowers are stocked as to orders expected – so please should you wish to cancel flowers for a week or so maybe because business is quiet, please let us have at least 10 days notice. Otherwise we will assume that you will expect flowers on an ongoing weekly basis.
COMPLIMENTS & COMPLAINTS Please check the flowers on delivery…. it is hard to guarantee a time frame for flowers to last as care and environment have a massive bearing on their life span. We will always endeavour to provide flowers hardy enough to withstand being kept inside with central heating and little attention to being required.
TOXICITY/POISONS Many flowers and plants are poisonous, and even if not, most flowers are grown using pesticides, it is very difficult to get assurances from wholesalers about pesticides used. Flowers and leaves should NEVER be eaten and care should be made to wash hands thoroughly if handling them for any reason.
DESIGNS&CONSULTATION Many of our brides are based outside North Devon, so many wedding flowers are arranged purely through telephone and email contact, we can of course arrange to meet locally for a consultation should you want one. We are happiest using our creativity based on discussions regarding flower types, themes, current trends with you, and like to be bombarded with photographs, Pinterest boards and emails of ideas you’ve had. We want this to be a positive and enjoyable part of your wedding planning. Rather than endeavour to duplicate an exact design we will use your photos as inspiration to create a bouquet that’s bespoke, really just yours. From the initial brief we will work to a colour palette and style – flowers can be very different even when the same variety.
Sometimes we may need to substitute flowers just days before your wedding, we figure that you are probably over making choices by this point (and are hopefully somewhere having a spa) so trust us and we’ll substitute, but only after having done our absolute utmost to get exactly the bloom wanted. We will be available for contact by phone and email at any stage to answer any questions and queries you may have. Consultations and reasonable contact and minor changes are included in the pricing. However, further charges may be made for unnecessary
FLOWERS&CAKES We would always prefer to supply edible flowers sourced from reputable growers – although do appreciate that the correct colours are not always available. Many flowers and plants are poisonous, and even if not, many are grown using toxic pesticides. It is very difficult to get assurances from wholesalers that products are safe near food. We can only advise that the flowers and foliage we supply are never eaten, and you should try to be aware around children. Always wash your hands before eating if you’ve been handling flowers. Brides and Grooms need to commit to not serving flowers with the cake, and flowers should only be inserted into a cake layer that’s not to be eaten, or to be carefully cut.
We will arrange to supply flowers to either the cake maker, or one of the bridal party – who then is responsible for decorating the cake – it is also their responsibility to ensure that flower stems are correctly prepared by taping, using picks and placed on a barrier sheet wax/baking or similar. Brides and Grooms need to commit to not serving flowers with the cake, and flowers should only be inserted into a cake layer that’s not to be eaten, or to be carefully cut.
PHOTOGRAPHS We’re always delighted to get photographs from happy brides /grooms and customers after their day. We may take our own photos too for before dropping flowers off to you or setting up – these will be for promotional purposes and we may use them on our social media pages, but we fully respect that this is your big day, not ours, so any photos will not be used/posted on social until after your event/day.
PRICING It’s hard to understand how the price of wedding flowers differs so wildly from shop bought bouquets, so for the curious, here’s why. Prices include the design fee, sourcing particular flowers, liaising with wholesalers for availability, sleepless nights before delivery of the flowers, very early mornings preparing flowers, packaging everything is prepared in the hours before your wedding, most wedding days for us start around 5am.
All fees will be clearly outlined in your quote and final contract, ensuring no hidden fees or nasty surprises!
